I’ve been privileged to work as a theatrical technician in Austin for the past 16 years. In that time I’ve discovered a workforce proud of their craft and ready for new challenges. I have worked in a variety of theaters and venues that showcase Austin’s best entertainment and trade. I have been a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 205 since 1998, and I’ve served on the Executive Board as both the Vice President and as the Business Agent for the Local 205. In so doing, I’ve learned a great deal about the importance of the collective. I’ve also learned a great deal about the importance of communication between clients and employees. With these relationships and experiences, I started The Stage Alliance with the intention of becoming the best stage labor provider in Austin.
This goal is made more challenging due to my visual impairment. From a young age, I have had to deal with Macular Degeneration, an impairment of the central part of the eye. This situation has made me work even harder to realize how to best incorporate my talents. In 2008 I received my bachelor.s degree in Organizational Communications from St. Edwards University, which has been invaluable. It is my dedication to both the worker and the client that serve as the foundation for making this company a success.
